The farmhouse, stable, barn and pig sty were built in 1899 by the grandfather of the lady we bought it from in 2006, and had remained in the family all that time.

The garage was a later addition, being added in 1910, and as the vaulted cellar lies beneath thispart of the building, we assume it was constructed at the same time.

The care with which this frenchman built his family home is still evident and was one of the reasons we bought it. The fittings, though dated, are of very good quality and as best we can, we will leave these in place.
